India men's cricket team head physiotherapist Kamlesh Jain has submitted his resignation to the BCCI, bringing an end to his four-year association following the tour of New Zealand.
Kamlesh Jain, the head physiotherapist for the Indian men's cricket team, has submitted his resignation to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). While the board is yet to formally accept it, the Chennai-based physio is currently serving a three-month notice period.
Unless relieved earlier by the BCCI, Jain's four-year stint with the national team will conclude at the end of India's tour of New Zealand in December.
Jain was recruited from Kolkata Knight Riders during Rahul Dravid's tenure as India coach and took over the head physio role in June 2022. He replaced Nitin Patel, who moved to the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru and has since joined the Mumbai Indians.
Serving as a key bridge between the CoE, selectors, and the coaching staff regarding player fitness, Jain is understood to have sought an exit from the national team due to the extensive travel involved.
