The All India Football Federation has set aside 14,000 discounted tickets for local club members and fans for India's upcoming friendly against Brazil at Salt Lake Stadium.
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has announced that 14,000 tickets will be set aside at a discounted rate for local club members and fans for the upcoming India-Brazil friendly match at Salt Lake Stadium on October 3.
AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey stated he held discussions with representatives from Mohun Bagan, East Bengal, Mohammedan Sporting, and the Indian Football Association (IFA) to arrange accommodations for club members.
"A total of 14,000 tickets on the stands behind the two goalposts are available for the clubs and a discount will be offered on these tickets. Tickets in this category are reserved for individuals associated with football; they must obtain their tickets through the IFA," Chaubey said.
Ahead of the Brazil fixture, India will host Panama in Bengaluru on September 25. India is also scheduled to play Uruguay on October 6, though Chaubey could not provide further details regarding that match. Commenting on the high-profile schedule, Chaubey noted, "Don’t think India has ever played against such higher-ranked teams in the last 40 years. Have to look at the country’s long-term benefit."
