Premier League club Fulham have completed the signings of forward Gonzalo Garcia and midfielder Cesar Palacios from Real Madrid on five-year contracts.
Fulham have signed forward Gonzalo Garcia and midfielder Cesar Palacios from Real Madrid on five-year contracts, the Premier League club announced on Monday, August 3, 2026.
Garcia, 22, and Palacios, 21, will reunite at Fulham with former Real Madrid coach Alvaro Arbeloa, who joined the west London club in July after leaving Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Arbeloa had coached Real Madrid's youth and reserve teams before taking over the senior side in January to replace compatriot Xabi Alonso.
Garcia scored 13 goals in 51 appearances for Real Madrid across all competitions and was part of the squad that won both the Champions League and LaLiga in 2024. British media reported Fulham paid around £34 million ($45 million) for the forward.
Palacios made seven senior appearances for Real Madrid, making his debut in the Copa del Rey against Albacete and also featuring in the Champions League. His deal runs until June 2031, with Fulham holding an option to extend it by a further year. Media reports put his transfer fee at around £8.5 million.
The transfer fees for both players were not officially disclosed by the clubs. Fulham begin their Premier League campaign by hosting Chelsea on August 24.
