Barcelona captain Raphinha scored a hat-trick as the league leaders came from behind to beat Sevilla 3-1 and extend their winning streak to seven matches.
Barcelona maintained their perfect start to the LaLiga season with a 3-1 comeback victory at Sevilla on Saturday, September 19, 2026, powered by a hat-trick from captain Raphinha.
Sevilla drew first blood in the 18th minute when Felix Correia delivered a cross from the left for Youssouf Fofana to head past Dominik Livakovic, who was deputising for injured Barcelona goalkeeper Joan Garcia. Barcelona responded four minutes later when Raphinha latched onto an Andreas Christensen pass and beat Sevilla goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos.
The home side came close to retaking the lead before half-time when a backheel from Fofana sent Correia through, only for Rodri to pull off a goal-saving tackle. Barcelona then took control in the second half, with Raphinha heading in his second goal in the 52nd minute following skilled footwork in the box from Lamine Yamal. Raphinha was denied a third shortly after when his corner kick struck the post.
The Brazilian completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute, running behind the Sevilla defense to finish another Lamine Yamal assist for his 12th goal in seven league appearances. Hansi Flick's side comfortably managed possession in the final minutes, though Christensen sustained a second-half injury.
With their seventh straight league victory, Barcelona moved provisionally six points clear of second-placed Real Madrid, who play Atletico Madrid on Sunday. In Saturday's other fixtures, Osasuna drew 1-1 with Rayo Vallecano, Athletic Club and Alaves played to a 0-0 draw, and Celta Vigo earned a 5-0 victory over Racing Santander.
