Ahead of Wednesday's Qualifier 2 at Chepauk, weather conditions give Trichy Grand Cholas a distinct advantage: if rain prevents a result, Grand Cholas will advance to the final alongside Madurai Panthers due to finishing second in the league, one spot above Vida Kovai Kings.
If the weather permits play, Kovai Kings will rely on a potent bowling attack featuring the tournament's two most economical bowlers. Left-arm spinner M. Easwaran (14 wickets), whose action is inspired by former Pakistan left-armer Sohail Tanvir, and slinging pacer Athisayaraj Davidson (10 wickets). Their batting order features a top three of K.
