The Brazil football team has arrived in Kolkata via a chartered flight to play a FIFA international friendly against India at the Salt Lake Stadium this Saturday.

Members of the Brazil football team landed at Kolkata's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport on Thursday aboard a chartered flight ahead of their FIFA international friendly against the Indian men's national team.

The Selecao are set to face the Blue Tigers on Saturday at the Salt Lake Stadium, bringing their famous 'Jogo Bonito' style to football enthusiasts across Bengal and India.

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior stands out as the primary attraction of the visiting team. His arrival marks a full-circle moment after he previously missed traveling to India for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup when Flamengo retained him following a Copa do Brasil final loss, despite the then 17-year-old having secured a €45 million transfer to Real Madrid.

With Raphinha withdrawing from the squad due to injury, focus on Vinicius Junior is expected to further heighten excitement as Carlo Ancelotti’s Brazil prepares for Saturday's fixture.
